the reason why we chose this name for this web site

The graffiti which is depicted in our home page (which says PALERMO PRESENTE, that is, PALERMO IS THERE) appeared a few years ago on a wall of Palermo’s historical centre. It referred to something that had happened in Palermo at that time.

After a while it was wiped off because of some renovation works.

We took a picture of it because we liked its graphics, its provocation, its reference to a cultural growth in Sicily based on the search of identity.

Now, this graffiti has become our symbol representing any kind of enrichment.

Our main subject matter is photography, as a means of expression and communication, but we are open to any cultural stimulus.
